These are
NEW
shift knob Replacement Button Cap with
USED
base.
It is an improved design, ready to install and save time.
There are some minor blemishes due to contact during shipping and
manufacturing of the new button. Photos show some typical blemishes e.g. minor scuffs. These are just cosmetic and the kit works well and ready to install.
They are for the 1-pin style shift knob and will NOT work in the 3-pin style knobs. Photos show the comparison of the two styles.
Please verify the shift knob button style by looking at the bottom of the button if the button has not come out from the shift knob yet. If not sure, please send us some photos of the shift knob button so we can help to determine the compatibility.
Installation Steps:
-- The shift knob has to be removed from the shifter assembly in order to do the repair.
-- The replacement button needs to be installed into the original base before installing back into the shift knob.
-- After the knob is reassembled, be sure to connect the rod into the knob
BEFORE
installing back into the shifter.
Installation instruction for the completed button kit and rod (as shown in the photo) will be included.
There are many videos online showing the removal & installation process for the shift knob which is very simple and straight forward.
The compatibility table is for reference only. It may fit other years & models.
