    Description

    Our 176-page history of the World's Columbian Exposition was published in 1993 for the centennial of the fair, published by The National Trust for Historic Preservation. Once the hardcover editions were sold out, the University of Illinois took over publication of the same book in softcover, which remains in print after 18 years. The U of Illinois is also the publisher of our 2017 Chicago's Grand Midway, the first and most comporehensive such history of the Midway Plaisance. We still have a few copies of this original hardcover history of the fair, called the best overall history of the fair by several reviewers--so I don't modestly have to say that about the book we wrote!
