ICRR (Illinois Central Railroad) Adlake tall globe lantern with matched globe

Description

Illinois Central Railroad Adlake tall globe hand lantern with matched globe. Lantern frame is 10 3/8" in height. Width at base is 7 3/8". The lid shoulder is stamped "I.C.R.R." The globe is cast "I.C.R.R." in front, with the Corning logo at the rear. Frame is a double lateral wire guard. Three patent dates of May 28 1895, May 5, 1908 and January 26, 1909. Lid shoulder sustained a dent at the rear above the thumb latch. The lid dome is also dented. The lid opens and locks with the triangle wire thumb latch. The fuel fount is twist off, and is equipped with a working Miller wick adjuster. Lantern is clean and solid, with very minor tinning left on fount, otherwise the patina seen. Shipping is based on USPS to the lower 48.
