    Description

    New battery warmer, wrap style heater from Phillips / Temro / Zerostart (an OEM manufacturer of heaters for many US automobile makers).
    This is a new (5 x 36") 160Watt heating unit designed to work in the coldest of climates. Greatly improves the starting capacity and life expectancy of your battery in very cold winter weather.
    Your battery is only 65% as powerful at 0 degrees as it is at 80 degrees (Fahrenheit) and your engine (with i's cold thick oil) requires more than twice the power to turn over!
    That is a bad combination,... you need more than twice the power and you have just 65% of the battery's rated capacity available! - Fix that issue with a good battery warmer!
    What sets this heater apart from cheap imitators?:
    1). It features a molded rubber cord and heater sheathing (not cheap harder plastic, like some competitors) that will stay more flexible in frigid temperatures (no cracking).
    2). The heating element's effectiveness is improved with the use of 3M's unique and patented Thinsulate insulation, keeping the heat against the battery, where you want it.
    3). The cord is installed into the blanket with a brass grommet, to avoid tearing of the insulation over time.
    4). This heater is oil and acid resistant and is flame retardant.
    5). Really easy to install,... just wrap your battery and use the (included) ties to hold it in place!
    6). A full 5" wide for entire 36" length
    For maximum battery warmer life and effectiveness, it is recommended that the battery be clean and dry upon heater installation.
    To select the correct heater for your battery, just measure the distance all the way around your battery and select the correct warmer length to closest match. You may use multiple heaters if you have a large battery and live in a very cold climate, otherwise the heaters are designed to be effective if only covering 3 sides of the battery are possible.
