Description

1893 World's Columbian Exposition Sterling Silver Souvenir Spoon
About 4 1/8 inches (demitasse size); in good, but tarnished condition.
Columbus' head on finial, with "World's Columbian Exposition" underneath.  Handle has various nautical devices.  On back of handle is the image of a crowned individual, likely King Ferdinand since the hair is short and uncovered, along with a globe and dates.  The bowl has the image of a sailing ship.  I have been told this is the Santa Maria, but don't know for certain.
Marked sterling; possibly by Alvin-Beiderhase Co. (please see photo).
