    Description

    I have for sale a souvenir medal for the 1893 Columbian Exposition that was held in Chicago, Illinois.  The medal is aluminum, it is 1 3/8 inches in diameter and in gem uncirculated condition.  This medal is listed in the So Called Dollar catalog as HK219 and in the Eglit catalog as #441.  The maker was Murdock of Cincinnati, Ohio.  The obverse shows a world globe showing North & South America & Europe and the location of CHICAGO is marked on the globe.  At the rim it reads WORLD'S COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION - CHICAGO, ILLS. 1893.  On the reverse at the rim it reads OHIO'S STONE & MINERAL EXHIBIT - AT CHICAGO 92 & 93 and in the center it shows the exhibit building.  Please see more in my EBAY STORE at TE COLLECTABLES.  (16,883)
