1893 COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION CHICAGO WORLD'S FAIR BOKER & Co. STRAIGHT RAZOR

Up for auction is this great 1893 Columbian Exposition/Chicago World's Fair straight razor with a detailed image of the fair etched on the blade.  The blade, made by H. Boker & Co., has a brown, what we believe to be gutta percha (although it could be another material!) outer case covering.  The blade has, as stated before, a detailed image of the fair etched into it and says "1492 1892   WORLD'S COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION, CHICAGO 1893".   The razor measures about 6 1/2 inches long closed and 10 1/2 inches long fully extended.  In very good shape with little or no wear to outer case.  Blade could use a cleaning but we left this up to the buyer at the request of previous buyers of such items like this from us in the past.  Image is clean and clear.  Metal exhibits a wonderful antique patina!  A great piece in nice shape offered with NO RESERVE!!
